The 4th graders entered a videoconference with 6 other schools. Each school's location was unknown to the others and they gave clues as to their whereabouts. Then we had 30 minutes to figure out their location. We were in teams of 2-3 students, each team working on one location. Students used Washington state road maps and various internet sites to narrow down their answers. The competition was enjoyed by all and even though we only got 5 out of 7 correct, we were in the right area for the the other two. It was a fun morning!
